Crafted in close collaboration with GRAMMY-winning guitarist Trey Hensley, the Taylor Gold Label 510e Special Edition is a refined tribute to tradition, tone, and craftsmanship. Built with the touring player and studio professional in mind, this dreadnought model blends classic materials and bold voice with Taylor’s modern innovations. Its solid torrefied Sitka spruce top and tropical mahogany back and sides form the heart of the guitar’s sonic identity — yielding a warm, woody, midrange-rich tone with crisp articulation and exceptional headroom. Whether you're flatpicking bluegrass runs, fingerpicking roots melodies, or backing a vocal line with powerful strumming, this 510e thrives in Americana, folk, country, and blues settings.
One of the defining features of this special model is Taylor’s fanned V-Class bracing with a tonal rout, which enhances volume and sustain while balancing the natural compression and warmth of mahogany. The Action Control Neck — a relatively recent innovation — delivers enhanced playability and effortless string height adjustment, ensuring long-term comfort and precision. Trey Hensley’s personal preference for LR Baggs Anthem SL electronics ensures the plugged-in tone is just as nuanced and organic as the guitar sounds acoustically — offering world-class stage and studio performance without compromise.
With visual appointments that match its rich tone, the Gold Label 510e features cream binding, a full-body gloss finish, Crest inlays, and an antique blond top treatment that adds subtle vintage appeal. Each of the first 100 guitars includes a signed certificate of authenticity, underscoring the exclusive and collectible nature of this release. Housed in a British Cocoa Gold Label hardshell case, this model is not only a workhorse for performers but a stunning instrument for collectors and tone connoisseurs alike. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
