The Strymon Volante takes the magic of vintage echo machines and puts an entire world of them under your feet. Its three magnetic delay voices cover the smoky saturation of a classic drum echo, the warm imperfections of tape, and the clean, full-bodied character of vintage studio reel-to-reel machines. With four independently controlled playback heads, you can build everything from simple slapback and rhythmic repeats to swirling, reverb-like ambience that seems to stretch endlessly behind your playing.

What makes Volante so much fun is how playable it feels. Individual heads can be turned on or off, adjusted for volume, fed back independently and panned across the stereo field, while controls for mechanics, wear, head spacing and saturation let you decide how pristine or beautifully worn-out your echoes should sound. Add the built-in spring reverb, reverse and Sound on Sound modes, infinite repeats and tap tempo, and Volante becomes much more than a delay pedal, it becomes an instrument for creating evolving textures in real time.

Despite all that vintage character, Volante is thoroughly modern where it counts. Presets, MIDI, expression control, stereo operation and selectable instrument or line-level input make it easy to integrate into everything from a compact pedalboard to a sophisticated studio setup.
