The Strymon Iridium puts the feel and response of a great tube amp, matched speaker cabinet, and good-sounding room directly onto your pedalboard. Built around Strymon’s Matrix Modeling technology, Iridium gives you three distinct amp voices: Round, inspired by the Fender Deluxe Reverb; Chime, based on the Brilliant channel of a Vox AC30; and Punch, modeled after a Marshall Plexi. Each amp delivers its own character, from warm and responsive cleans to chiming breakup and aggressive, dynamic overdrive, while simple Drive, Level, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls make it easy to dial in your sound.

The cabinet experience is just as impressive, with nine stereo impulse response cabinets loaded onboard and captured at 24-bit/96kHz with 500ms resolution. Three cabinet choices are available for each amp style, including models from OwnHammer, CabIR, Celestion, Valhallir, and others, and you can load your own IRs using Strymon’s Impulse Manager software. A hybrid IR and algorithmic room section adds selectable small, medium, or large spaces, giving your direct tone the sense of depth and air you would expect from playing through a real amplifier in a room. Stereo inputs and outputs, instrument or line-level operation, and a discrete headphone amplifier make Iridium equally comfortable on a pedalboard, in the studio, or for silent practice.

Iridium also goes well beyond basic amp and cab simulation with a premium JFET analog front end offering up to 22dB of gain, along with an expression pedal input that can morph multiple parameters simultaneously or provide smooth pre- or post-chain volume control. USB connectivity allows you to manage cabinet IRs, while MIDI support and compatibility with the Strymon MultiSwitch Plus open up extensive preset and remote-control possibilities.
