This 1958 Ernst Heinrich Roth 1958 Stradivarius Cremona is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship that established the Roth workshop as one of Germany’s most respected violin makers. Built during an important era in the company’s history, this instrument reflects the workshop’s dedication to faithfully recreating the timeless elegance and tonal character of the great Cremonese masters. With its beautifully flamed two-piece maple back, evenly grained spruce top, and classic styling, it carries the charm and confidence that only a well-crafted vintage violin can offer.
The moment the bow meets the strings, this violin responds with a clear, resonant voice that has matured beautifully over decades of playing. Its warm, open character and quick response make it equally rewarding for lyrical solo passages, chamber music, or orchestral performance. Ebony fittings, a comfortable side-mount chinrest, and a professional setup ensure that it feels as inspiring to play as it is to hear, giving musicians an instrument that encourages expression and nuance with every note.
Ernst Heinrich Roth instruments have earned a lasting reputation for their remarkable consistency, transparency, and faithful interpretations of legendary Stradivarius deisgns. This 1958 example continues that tradition, offering the sound, beauty, and craftsmanship that have made Roth violins favorites among advancing students, dedicated performers, and collectors alike. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
