Guitarists who want every part of an instrument focused on performance and simplicity will immediately understand the philosophy behind the PRS Jonathan Jourdan Signature Limited Edition. Developed with Mammoth guitarist Jon Jourdan, this model strips the electric guitar down to what he actually needs onstage: an all-mahogany solidbody, one aggressive bridge humbucker, and a single volume control deliberately relocated away from the picking hand. Even the neck pickup is eliminated, reflecting Jourdan's preference for removing its magnetic pull on the strings and keeping the instrument as direct and lively as possible.

That simplicity is wrapped around unmistakably PRS construction. The mahogany body receives the company's sculpted violin top carve, which becomes especially prominent without a neck pickup or additional controls interrupting the surface. A one-piece mahogany Pattern Regular neck and ebony fingerboard give the guitar a substantial but comfortable foundation, with a 25" scale and 10" radius maintaining familiar PRS proportions. Jourdan's minimalist aesthetic continues with an inlay-free fingerboard, while luminous side dots provide practical position reference under dark stage lighting. Phase III locking tuners with ebony buttons and the PRS Adjustable Stoptail bridge complete a hardware package designed around stability, resonance, and straightforward intonation adjustment.

The entire electronic path centers on a single PRS Metal bridge humbucker, a pickup developed for the aggressive output and articulation demanded by heavier styles. With no pickup selector, neck pickup, or tone circuit to navigate, the signal goes through a single volume control positioned where a tone knob would traditionally sit, allowing Jourdan to play aggressively without accidentally changing his level. The result is a particularly purposeful signature model suited to hard rock, alternative metal, modern metal, and other high-energy styles where immediacy and clarity matter. Limited to just 200 instruments for 2026 and accompanied by a backplate hand-signed by Jourdan, the model captures a working guitarist's philosophy in unusually concentrated form: keep what serves the music and remove what does not. Finished in Platinum Metallic, this 2026 limited-edition PRS is available at Haggerty's Music and includes a PRS ATA Multi-Fit molded hardshell case.
