The Nord Stage 4 Compact brings piano, organ, and synth sounds together in a remarkably flexible performance instrument, with a redesigned front panel that makes the whole experience feel immediate and hands-on. Its dedicated LED faders for each Layer give you a clear view of your setup while you're playing, and the new Preset Library makes it easy to get started with polished Piano, Synth, and Organ sounds. Underneath it all is a premium 73-key triple-sensor semi-weighted waterfall keybed with aftertouch, giving the Compact a responsive feel that works equally well for detailed piano playing, synth parts, and organ-style performance.
The three-section architecture is where the Stage 4 really opens up. The Synth section uses the Nord Wave 2 engine with three independent Layers and support for virtual analog, samples, FM, and wavetable synthesis, along with an advanced arpeggiator and extensive real-time controls. The Piano section expands Nord's collection of Grands, Uprights, and Electric Pianos with features such as Dynamic Compression, Unison, Advanced String Resonance, and Dynamic Pedal Noise for a more expressive playing experience. The Organ section brings Nord's B3, Vox, Farfisa, and Pipe Organ simulations together with physical drawbars and LED indicators, plus enhanced rotary speaker modeling and a dedicated B3 Bass mode.
The Stage 4 is equally impressive when it comes to shaping and performing sounds. Each Layer gets its own dedicated effects section, with expanded modulation, amp, delay, and reverb options along with creative effects such as Spin, Pump, Flam, and Space Delay. With up to four keyboard zones, three morph sources, stereo or mono routing, MIDI over USB, 512 Programs, eight Live Programs, and extensive external control options, it's designed to adapt to complex stage setups without becoming difficult to navigate. The Nord Stage 4 Compact is a powerful all-in-one instrument for players who want authentic acoustic keyboard sounds, deep synthesis, and hands-on organ control in one performance-focused package.
