The Gretsch G9460 Guitar-Banjo brings together the familiar feel of a six-string guitar with the lively, unmistakable character of a banjo, making it a fun instrument for players who want something a little outside the ordinary. Its maple construction, antique semi-gloss finish, and vintage-inspired appointments give it plenty of old-school Gretsch personality, while the 11" Remo Renaissance head and rolled brass tone ring help deliver the bright, lively response you want from a banjo.

The maple neck has a comfortable vintage U profile with a maple fingerboard and pearloid dot inlays giving it a familiar guitar-like playing experience. With 21 medium jumbo frets, a 1.6875" nut, and a geared fifth-string tuner, it feels approachable for guitarists while still retaining the character and functionality of a traditional banjo. The 24-bracket construction, steel tension hoop, dual coordinating rods, and No-Knot-style tailpiece round out the traditional design.

Grover Sta-Tite tuners and nickel-plated hardware keep the G9460 dependable and easy to work with, while the mahogany rim and rolled brass tone ring give it the punch and projection that make this style of instrument so much fun to play.
