The 1957 Les Paul Goldtop is one of those guitars that needs little introduction, and this Gibson Custom limited edition captures that legendary character with the added personality of a Murphy Lab Light Aged finish. Built with a solid mahogany body and maple top, the Double Gold finish gives this Les Paul the look of a well-loved vintage instrument, complete with aged nitrocellulose lacquer, subtle checking, and the unmistakable character of a guitar that feels like it has already lived a life. A mahogany neck with the substantial 1950s Chunky D profile, long neck tenon, and rosewood fingerboard delivers the authoritative feel and resonance players expect from a late-'50s Les Paul.

The voice is powered by a Custombucker Alnico 3 in the neck and a Custombucker Plus Alnico 3 at the bridge, delivering the warm, articulate response and dynamic touch that make these pickups so addictive. With zebra bobbins left uncovered, they add a distinctive visual touch while giving you access to everything from singing, rounded cleans to thick, harmonically rich overdrive. Two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way toggle keep the classic Les Paul control layout intact, while the 24.75-inch scale, 12-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, and nylon nut round out a playing experience that balances vintage character with comfortable modern performance.
