At the heart of the Hummingbird Dark is a solid European spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, creating a rich and balanced tonal foundation with excellent projection and warmth. The slightly reduced 4" Performer body depth enhances comfort without sacrificing the full-bodied response that has made the Hummingbird one of the most respected acoustic designs ever created. As the spruce top matures, it will continue to develop greater resonance and complexity, rewarding players with a voice that grows richer over time.

The mahogany neck features a comfortable Rounded C profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with distinctive pearloid split parallelogram inlays. Premium details such as Grover Rotomatic tuners, black binding, and the custom Hummingbird Dark pickguard reinforce the guitar’s unique visual identity. When it's time to plug in, the Fishman Sonicore pickup and Presys VT preamp faithfully reproduce the guitar’s natural acoustic character for live performances and recording sessions alike.
