The Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron Plus takes the unmistakable envelope-filter character of the original Q-Tron and adds the flexibility players need to get even more creative. Its dedicated effects loop lets you place another pedal or an entire chain between the Q-Tron Plus’s preamp and filter sections without affecting the envelope drive, opening the door to combinations that can produce everything from funky, vocal-like textures to completely unexpected sounds. With low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filter options, switchable frequency ranges, adjustable resonance, and selectable up or down sweeps, there’s plenty of room to shape the response to your playing.

The Attack Response switch adds another useful dimension, allowing you to choose between the fast reaction of the original Q-Tron and a slower, smoother response with a more vowel-like character. The gain control and boost switch give you additional control over how hard you drive the filter, while the Blend control and versatile filter section make it easy to find the sweet spot between subtle movement and dramatic, resonant sweeps. True bypass keeps your dry signal clean when the effect is disengaged, and the dedicated send and return connections make integrating the Q-Tron Plus into a larger pedalboard setup straightforward.
