Some guitars follow tradition, while others redefine it. The Epiphone Firebird carries forward one of the most daring electric guitar designs ever created, faithfully recreating the reverse-body silhouette and neck-through construction that made the original 1963 Firebird an instant icon. Designed by legendary automotive stylist Ray Dietrich, the Firebird broke new ground with its futuristic appearance and innovative engineering, quickly finding favor with players who wanted a guitar that looked, felt, and sounded unlike anything else on stage. This modern Inspired by Gibson edition captures that same adventurous spirit while delivering the reliability and playability today's musicians demand. Complete with a premium gig bag, this Firebird is available now at Haggerty's Music.
At the heart of the instrument is a traditional 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body design with mahogany body wings, creating exceptional sustain, resonance, and tonal balance. The comfortable SlimTaper C neck profile, bound rosewood fingerboard, and medium jumbo frets offer effortless playability whether you're laying down chunky rhythm parts or soaring lead lines. Every detail reflects the Firebird's distinctive personality, from the reverse headstock and six-in-line Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners to the iconic white pickguard adorned with the classic Firebird graphic.
A matched pair of Epiphone Firebird ProBucker pickups faithfully recreates the unmistakable voice of the original 1960s Firebird pickups. Unlike traditional mini humbuckers, Firebird pickups utilize blade magnets housed directly within the coils, producing bright, articulate tones with impressive clarity, punch, and hum-free performance. Combined with premium CTS potentiometers, a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, and Graph Tech nut, this Firebird delivers outstanding tuning stability, sustain, and expressive tonal versatility for everything from classic rock and blues to modern alternative and beyond.
